NOTES FROM THE BALCONY
This is the month when you have the opportunity to sing along with a wonderful Lutheran church musician at St. John’s! Composer, conductor, teacher, organist Dr. Michael Burkhardt will be leading US in a hymn festival on November 19 at 2 pm. In addition to the singing of our congregation (and the guests you will invite), it includes our choir, hand bell choir and brass ensemble. This is not something you want to miss. Also, there is no admission fee – just come and sing joyfully. Our Thanksgiving potluck precedes this (after Bible class), and there will be a reception after the hymn festival. What a day! What great events, as we continue to celebrate our Lutheran heritage – Reformation and 100th anniversary!
